Legends ofAmarna

Warning! The anathema is here.

The doctrine that poisoned the souls of many, that wrought blood against blood, life against life. Aspasia has not been the same, nor will it ever be. As history fades into legend, and legend into myth, so too are the whispers of peace that had once brought each of the races together in harmony. As such a time faded into history, so does the chaos grow - the resentment that breeds loathing - that brings about war.

With the world pitted against each other, each race, equines, canines, and felines taking sides, the question is, which side will you choose?

  • breed Gypsy Vanner
  • height 14.3hh
  • eye color Fawn Brown
One word to describe Thumbelina would be “cute.” From her fluffy white mane and tail, to her short stature, to her bright inquisitive eyes, she seems to embody a sense of cuteness that is hard to rival. She appears fairy-like and playful, finding her sense of beauty from the nature that surrounds her and fills her every breath.

She has the build of a typical Gypsy Vanner, but that is where typical ends. From the leafy green hues of her spots to the flowers that grow into her mane and tail, Thumbelina stands out from the rest of the Gypsy Vanners. Her mane and tail, the stark white of freshly fallen snow, are braided with vines and leafs, not to mention the dozens of flowers that sprout from the hair. Around her ears is a delicate crown of flowers, woven together with wild flowers and the hair from the members of her tribe. A permanent reminder of a place long gone. Her face, soft in appearance and slightly dished, is only made softer by the large fawn brown eyes that peer out at the world. On her head is a brilliant sapphire that can change color depending on her mood. From the base of the sapphire sprouts a pearl horn, that wraps and twists to a delicately fine point. The sapphire changes with Thumbelina's mood.

On her back, she sports delicate fairy wings of green and white, and they flutter about as she moves through her day, also assisting her with flight whenever needed.
Human Form
  • height 5'3"
Standing tall at 5 foot 3 inches, Thumbelina is proud of her height. Sure she is shorter than most, but she is the perfect height for fun!

Her soft features and short stature often lead others to think that she is much younger then she truly is. The fact that she acts like a big kid most of the time does little to help this fact.

Thumbelina’s long hair, that is almost always pulled back and tied with a green ribbon, is the thing she takes the most pride in. Her light brown hair, with reddish highlights, hangs down past the middle of her back and the often-unruly hair likes to stick out at all angles. Often falling in her eyes when she tries to talk to others, her hair almost seems to have a mind of its own.

Upon her back, amidst the mass of hair, lays her delicate fairy wings. Dabbled green and white, they flutter and flap almost constantly. They are also able to aid in flight when necessary, however Thumbelina prefers to keep her feet on the ground.

Fawn brown eyes gaze out at the world with kindness and love. One might say she sees the world with ‘rose colored glasses’. But Thumbelina wouldn’t have it any other way.

When in human form Thumbelina prefers to wear a light summer gown of green and white flowers. She never wears shoes or sandals, instead opting for the feel of the earth between her toes.
Arctic Wolf Form
  • height 2'5"
With the build of an arctic wolf and standing at 2 foot 5 inches, Thumbelina makes an adorable wolf.

The leafy green spots from her horse form carry over onto the white pelt of her wolf form. Sure to stand out in crowd, she also has the sapphire that sits on her forehead.

Her wings also transfer over from her other forms. The delicate appendages flit and flutter as she bounces her way through the day.

Her fawn brown eyes look out at all the beauty that surrounds her. Her big, pink nose takes in all the scents of her surrounds but also adds to her ’cuteness’ factor.

Kind. That is what Thumbelina is, and it is what she embodies. All creatures that cross her path are met with kindness and care. Her hooves are always placed delicately lest she step on an unsuspecting critter or bug.

Her kindness is only rivaled by her joy. Bubbly and excitable, Thumbelina dances and sings her way through the day. Her joy and kindness belay the fact that she can and will handle any threat to her friends and loved ones. Because of this, she is very brave, and while this is a very positive quality, sometimes she can end up in situations that are over her head.

Clumsy at times and often speaking faster than her brain can think, Thumbelina has no filter between her brain and mouth. If she loves you she will let you know. However, if you are mean or arrogant she will point this out to you, in a loving but blunt way.

Thumbelina comes from the realm of fairies. Creatures as old as the dawn of time, hidden from prying eyes and curious creatures, the fairies watch over the realm of mortals.

Thumbelina, a curious and inquisitive girl, now finds herself called before the Fairy King and Queen. As she makes her way to the throne room, nervous excitement brewing in her belly, Thumbelina dips her head in greeting to each passerby she comes across. Her wings flutter with nervous energy as she enters the throne room, stopping at the respected distance to bow her greeting. “Stand before us Thumbelina.” Righting herself Thumbelina holds her head high and her smile is one of warmth and happiness. Her King and Queen sit upon their thrones, beaming down at her. “Come closer my child.” The Queen’s singsong voice calls to her and, as if on their own accord, her feet carry her closer. “Child,” The King begins, “we have a special mission for you.” Thumbelina’s ears prick up. A mission? She was always the one that was picked last to go on missions. Her age and clumsiness, yes she was often clumsy when excited, meant that she was left out of missions. But here, now, the King was giving her a special mission! Her heart flutters with excitement. The King continues, “You are special Thumbelina. For years you have showed your own kind the meaning of happiness and joy.” Thumbelina’s wings flutter in happiness at the kind words of her King. The King’s smile widens and a soft laugh escapes his lips. His voice takes on a softer tone as he continues. “For these reasons, and for you brave heart, we have decided that you are the one to go live among the mortals.” The words drop Thumbelina’s heart and her joy evaporates. She has to leave the fairy realm? Leave her loved ones and home and everything she has known? Tears sprang unbidden into Thumbelina’s eyes and the King and Queen’s expressions morph into one of sadness. The Queen leaves her Throne and glides up to Thumbelina. She pauses a moment before Thumbelina. The Queen studies the young fairy, taking in her tears and sad expression. The Queen speaks, “Thumbelina, we are not punishing you. Please understand that we love you child. It has come to our attention that the mortals have forgotten about our realm. They think we don’t care about them anymore. We have chosen you because you embody all the good things we fairies are. You are special, my child, and even though it hurts our hearts to see you leave the realm, we must ask you to do this.” Thumbelina stands in quiet contemplation for several minutes. Her mind is a whirlwind of thoughts and feelings. Fear rears it ugly head. Fear of the unknown, of a place without friends and loved ones, and of hurt and despair. Fear is replaced with longing. Longing to stay, to belong, to be thought of this highly all the time. Slowly, the tides of chaos ebb and reasoning starts to take hold. Where fear stood now reigns determination. Where longing held on, now resides, peace. She knows she must do this, not just for her King and Queen, but for herself. Thumbelina knows that she will grow and learn more out in the mortal world than she ever could here. Her mind snaps back to the present and the face of the Queen looms in front of her. Sadness resides in the Queen’s eyes and stance. Slowly, like dawn breaking the gloom of night, a smile spreads across Thumbelina’s face. The smile warms her face and lightens the hearts of all those in the room. The Queen’s face mirrors Thumbelina’s, showing happiness and joy. With unspoken acceptance and understanding the Queen embraces Thumbelina. Draping her head across the Queen’s back, Thumbelina’s resolve falters a moment and a sense of loss is felt deeply. Just as quickly as the moment comes, it passes and her resolve is restored. Slowly, softly, the King starts to tell Thumbelina her mission.

Thumbelina has been gifted the power to heal.

As a fairy Thumbelina is familiar with magic and, while she has never used sorcery, has seen it used before.

Thumbelina is in the beginning stages of learning what healing is and how to use this sorcery. Small cuts, contusions, and minor burns Thumbelina can heal.

Well, she can try. While she may not always be able to heal wounds, she cannot make them worse.

Depending on the severity of the wound depends on the amount of energy she spends. While learning how to heal, Thumbelina can tire herself quickly. Migraines and nose bleeds occur if she overextends herself.

If the need arises she will try to heal major, life threatening wounds. This however, will push her to death’s door and take several months to recover fully from.

Thumbelina will put herself last when it comes to the needs of others. It is not because she wants to get herself hurt, it is simply because she loves every creature and believes that all deserve to be helped.

Thumbelina has increased her magic level

Now Thumbelina is starting to get a better grasp on her healing ability and can heal minor broken bones. Clean breaks are easier to heal and require less energy. Along with minor breaks she can also heal deeper cuts, bigger contusions and very small second-degree burns. One more thing she can start to heal are the emotions of her wounded patients. She can soothe their mind and ease the turmoil that being hurt brings. For now, she can just touch and ease the emotions into something else.

Besides being able to heal more, Thumbelina can do more without wearing herself so thin so quickly. The migraines that use to dominant her whenever she healed have dulled to major headaches. Nose bleeds can still occur when she does too much, too quickly.

Thumbelina has been gifted the magic of animal control.

Gifted with animal control, Thumbelina is learning to reach out to her animal friends. Always concerned for the well-being of all creatures, Thumbelina can now reach out and 'touch' the minds of her animal companions.

While at the beginning stages, Thumbelina can reach out and sooth the minds of anxious/scared creatures. In times of great need, Thumbelina can control one of her friends. However, she would ask first. If she is allowed to take control it is only for a short time and it tires her quickly. Migraines occur if she stays connected too long and intense neck stiffness can happen if she focuses too long.

Thumbelina would only use her friends to defend herself or others. She would never attack others without provocation. Her first, and greatest concern is always for the safety and well-being of her animal friends. If permission is not given to allow her to control one, she will respect that.

Misha is a fairy fox. While he is from the Realm of Fairies, Misha looks like a regular red fox. Well there is one glaring difference however; he sports a set of fairy wings. The wings are the same red as his fur, dappled with white. These are not just for show, they are functional, giving him the freedom to fly anywhere he pleases. However, like his equine counterpart, the pair prefer to walk everywhere. He is curious by nature.

He is a gentle fox, preferring to investigate flowers instead of getting into trouble. His inquisitive side can lead to problems as he is kin to wander wherever the wind takes him. Misha is caring and this leads him to seek out animals in need of help. He is protective of anyone and anything that cannot defend itself. He will not pick fights but he will end them.

He is very protective of Thumbelina and, as a result, is often grumpy because of the situations she gets them into. The sensible one of the pair, Misha sees all possibilities when facing new things.

Misha is always within sight of Thumbelina.
