Legends ofAmarna

Warning! The anathema is here.

The doctrine that poisoned the souls of many, that wrought blood against blood, life against life. Aspasia has not been the same, nor will it ever be. As history fades into legend, and legend into myth, so too are the whispers of peace that had once brought each of the races together in harmony. As such a time faded into history, so does the chaos grow - the resentment that breeds loathing - that brings about war.

With the world pitted against each other, each race, equines, canines, and felines taking sides, the question is, which side will you choose?

Whatever happened is in your past and doesn't change the fact that you're here now.

It is a little known fact that purple is a colour that blends well in jungles and forests; afterall, it doesn't seem like such a strong colour would blend well with so much green and brown. And yet, that is exactly what has aided this particular gentle giant in traversing the world so stealthily.

"Hmm..."

Little hums vibrate from deep within as heavy feet move through the underbrush, but are so careful as to not break any branches that are not already dead. A heavy mass of moss drags behind the giant, gathering leaves and little twigs that are easily enough removed later when taking a break.

It's always interesting to visit new lands. To see how their ecosystems work, how old places are, to feel how the forests breathe... To see what it has been through and to aid in helping it grow to something more, to make sure there his hope for the future ahead.

"Hhmmm..."

Trees are the earth's endless effort to speak to the listening heaven.
All is good in the world. Well mostly. The residents of Ellenora, or at least the survivors have found a home. A good home, and as strange as this world is, the man feels a deep peace within himself. Strangely, his elven form seems more like a second skin rather than the wolf one he now wears as one would a pair of shoes comfortable and fully broken in. It was a strange turn of events that brought him here, and he still mourned the loss of the dead, but he felt deep sense of peace that they had found a permanent home where they could re-establish their roots as deep as a mighty oak tree.

As the jungle sounds continued around him, his powerful wings folded neatly against his side, he found a nice little ledge to sit upon. Closing his eyes he basked in the stillness, letting the sounds, sights, sensations, buzz all around him and calm him. His breathing shallowed, and he allowed himself to just be. He was a shaman, he was a healer. He found the greatest peace in nature, and he felt strongest in the stillness.

After many minutes, his body fully relaxed, it came to his awareness a voice. Deep as the earth. Cracking open his eyes, the light brilliant and bright, he peered through the foliage silently. What came to his attention was a curious creature. He appeared almost spirit like, and seemed to be growing moss and bones. Giving a respectful dip of his head, Ryndir sought to meet the creature's eyes, curious as to his origins. He seemed other worldly in many respects, but could not put a finger on it. Perhaps he was a denizen of this strange land. Finally he spoke. "Hello"

Whatever happened is in your past and doesn't change the fact that you're here now.

With the body the size of a young elephant, and therefore, a weight to match and cause heavy steps, Eihenoth is a surprisingly delicate creature; if he accidentally breaks a plant or disturbs a nest, he is apologetic and if it is within his power to repair, he will do so. However, it can be different when it comes to the actual lives of others. If damage is caused by his own doing, then he will do what he can to rectify, yet should he encounter something that is dying for whatever other reason that has non relation to him, he will leave it be, or if it is of some interest, he may stay and observe; always in silence, always from a distance, never seen.

So as he walks through the trees and is being as careful as he possibly can to not leave a wake of destruction behind him, the sounds of rustling plants and... feathers? ... capture his attention. The sound of feathers, in particular, because they do not seem to be as small as what one would expect of the averian life in such a place. But he needn't think on it too long, as a voice greets him, and he tilts his head to inspect it's owner. A winged canine... Something he had not seen for such a long time that he cannot accurately recall the last he met, only knowing that he was aware of their existance.

"Hello, winged one. Come along, if you wish."

His voice rings fairly deep, although a little more on the grainy side than barotone, as he continues to walk at his leisurely pace, the smallest hint of a smile offered to the wolf. Eihenoth is not one to stop to chat should he be on the move, especially with the sweet sound of gentley flowing water somewhere nearby; a perfect place to rest would be at the water's edge.

Trees are the earth's endless effort to speak to the listening heaven.
Entranced by the stallion, and wondering if perhaps he was seeing a vision in the world of the spirit, the wolf rose to his feet silently. Observing the behemoth sized creature, the delicate, yet powerful way it seemed he moved. Yes, he must be seeing a vision, or perhaps he was a nature deity, or perhaps just an inhabitant of this strange land. However it went, the wolf decided to follow him through the woods, curious as to were this creature would lead him - where they would end up.

He followed behind the stallion for quite some time entranced by the jungle around him, wondering if they were going anywhere of importance. Surely he wondered if he was in some sort of a vision, a dream created in another realm just beyond the reach of the physical. Sometimes such things happened in his meditations. They were far and few between, but he always steeped in their mystery, learned the lessons they taught him. He knew that if he snapped back when this was over that this was exactly that, if not, then he knew it would be reality. Sometimes the line blurred for him. He was a shaman, a bridge between two worlds. Sometimes it was dangerous, other times it was fascinating. He had a natural curiosity for such things, and he used his talents for good, though others sometimes used them for evil.

As they traveled, the sound of nearby water reached his sensitive ears, the scent of a stream tickling his nose. As an elf, he thought his senses were strong, but now, now they were much stronger, he felt more attuned to nature, more at one with the earth. He felt it strange that it was so natural, so alluring. Sometimes he wondered why he had discovered this form once coming to Aspasia, and why he hadn't simply been born with it. Another puzzle to figure out. Another question to answer. Perhaps that's why he was here, following this mysterious creature, waiting for the moments to reveal their mystery.

OOC: Just kind of meandering. Sorry if it isn't much to go off of, but I thought I would let Ein lead the way, and a silent post seemed appropriate for now.
