Legends ofAmarna

Warning! The anathema is here.

The doctrine that poisoned the souls of many, that wrought blood against blood, life against life. Aspasia has not been the same, nor will it ever be. As history fades into legend, and legend into myth, so too are the whispers of peace that had once brought each of the races together in harmony. As such a time faded into history, so does the chaos grow - the resentment that breeds loathing - that brings about war.

With the world pitted against each other, each race, equines, canines, and felines taking sides, the question is, which side will you choose?

Zephyr

Zephyr

Orange feathered head raised high, the stallion made his way through the forest when he ran across a strange looking entrance way. Not only did the entrance way look strange, an old stone doorway with a runic text, but it was hanging out in the middle of nowhere with no context what-so-ever. It was just there. Plop dab in the middle of nothing. No other ruins around it, no instructions... at least not in any language he knew, and no context. Shaking his head he puzzled over the strange architecture before wondering what was on the other side.

Growing up in a tribe, he heard legend of magics all over the world, of multiple universes, of lands and creatures that would dazzle the eye. It was something he only halfway believed. Even if he was the curious sort, he was a skeptic. How could such things exist? It made no logical sense. He would take a girl and a drink any day over some mysterious legend that some of the mystics and shamans liked to chase after. Such things were interesting, yet still boring enough that he would occupy himself with more "meaningful" endeavors. Like women. Giving a snort, he tossed his head and brought his mind back to this strange dilemma at hand. The doorway.

Trotting around it, keeping his eyes on it all the way around, they bugged open when he realized that one side was emanating a mysterious blue fog. It was so strange, and his curiousness got the best of him. Pausing before the strange entrance way, he slowly walked up to it and stuck his feathered head ever so slowly into the fog. It was cold on his skin like mist, and his skin shivered as it passed through.

Oh my God! Whereas, before he had been in a forest, full of trees and songbirds, a lush moor with a salty breeze surrounded him... that was... until his withers which seemed to be suspended in the strange mist. He could still feel the foresty sensation in his body, but what he was seeing and hearing was a whole other world that was strange to him. He almost jumped back, but curiosity got the best of him. He had to be dreaming. Stepping the rest of the way through the portal, he felt the shiver crawl over his skin as it met the mysterious mist, and fade again as the rest of his body followed him out on the moor. This was just too weird. Stopping, he turned around and began examining this side of the door. It was exactly as the one... in the forest had been... at least as far as he could tell. Finally mumbling to himself, he looked around and spoke. "This is some weird shit."

Mystique

Mystique had just been traveling when she spotted a horse coming through a portal. At his voice, she froze and watched nervously. Another person who did not truly belong to this world, guided here by the strange magic. Never before had she actually witnessed such a thing, so this was definitely a change to the norm of just meeting such people much later. Still, she found herself frozen, unsure on whether she should do or say anything to what looked like a fellow horse from here. He would certainly not know about being able to transform (if he could) or about anything in this world.

Mystique herself likely didn't know enough to be truly useful, but she knew more than this man. So, gripping her dress she moved and went to talk to him "H-hello..." she put forth, hearing the own shake in her voice making her bow her head in shyness. This was not good, she would always be nervous around people she didn't know and most took it the wrong way. This stranger would likely be the same and she felt herself move backward as she second-guessed herself. Looking up to the other, she paused and tried to be strong since she had been the first to speak.

Zephyr

Zephyr

Having been so utterly focused on this strange phenomenon standing before him, the sorrel stallion was startled when a voice spoke timidly a little ways off from him. Jumping up out of surprise, he turned his head and gave a surprised laugh. He shouldn't be caught unaware like that, but this truly was a curious artifact. He almost wondered what it would be like traveling through others and if this was a hub to other strange worlds. Actually, where the heck was he anyways?

"Hello" He spoke kindly, a bit of merriment filling his voice. He could tell that the other was nervous, which was quite funny, considering that he had leapt into the air like a surprised cat when he heard her voice. Perhaps it would make her feel more comfortable around him. She was a rather intriguing creature. Much like himself she bore unnatural coloring, though she lacked feathers, antlers instead sprouting from her head and flowers entwined in her hair. "I'm sorry, you startled me there for a second. I wasn't expecting anyone to be on the other end of these... things?" He paused before the word "things" because he simply could not think of the correct terms for them. Never in his life had he countered something so strange.

Finally like a lightbulb it came to him. They must be doorways... no! Portals! That was the word. He thought. Something strange that brought someone from one place to another. But he had never encountered magic once. At least not until today. Hmmmm. Losing focus for a second, he began eyeballing the marked stone curiously before coming back to reality again. To the timid mare standing in front of him. She was kind of pretty actually, even if she seemed overly shy. Pushing the thought aside, he tried to focus on the situation at hand. Mind still blown.

"My apologies madam, my name is Zephyr. Not trying to be rude or anything, but where exactly are we?"

Notes: He's an all over the place dude. Also it's almost 2am so sorry if it's not the best.
