Legends ofAmarna

Warning! The anathema is here.

The doctrine that poisoned the souls of many, that wrought blood against blood, life against life. Aspasia has not been the same, nor will it ever be. As history fades into legend, and legend into myth, so too are the whispers of peace that had once brought each of the races together in harmony. As such a time faded into history, so does the chaos grow - the resentment that breeds loathing - that brings about war.

With the world pitted against each other, each race, equines, canines, and felines taking sides, the question is, which side will you choose?

I could not have made it this far
had there not been angels along the way.
Humming a tune, the woman made her way over the lake, her violet tipped wings flapping quietly to keep her body aloft. She could feel a cool breeze against her skin, the first cool air in what seemed like a never-ending summer. It was a relief, a reprieve from the ash, the smoke, the searing heat. It was a brilliant change, and while no one knew what was causing the heat and fires, there were many suspicions. She refused to lay blame. She did not care to get too deeply into political conflict without knowing the truth. True, all sides seemed to have a bit of the truth, but what was the real truth? No one should be blamed for another's wrongs, yet those who did wrong should not go unpunished. She did not understand some things. Her world for eons had been clearly black and white. There was little room for gray, but here - here everything seemed to be one shade of gray or another it was astounding and though she considered herself intelligent enough, it baffled her.

Shaking her head, she landed on the ground at the edge of the lake. The pebbles she kicked up with her hooves skittering across the sand. Walking slowly, she lowered herself into the water and let the gentle waves lap against her pale hide. She would enjoy the quiet today, and she would enjoy the cool water and the cool air. Smiling, she let the worries of the world fade for just a moment as she enjoyed the serenity of the lake.
